STL → DXF slicer

How this works

  1. Slice direction is Z. Open the STL in a CAD viewer first and make sure the model is standing upright — most slicers do too.
  2. Thickness = your plywood/acrylic stock. The slicer takes a cross-section at the centre of each slot, so a 3 mm thickness with a 30 mm tall model gives 10 layers.
  3. Label layers engraves an index (1 = bottom) on each piece so you can glue the stack back in order without a puzzle.
  4. Multiple sheets. If the layers don't fit on one sheet they spill onto the next; the pager below lets you download each one.
