Text → outlined SVG
Type some text in the sidebar to start. When to use this
- Skip the Illustrator detour. Type the text, pick a
font, get a cut/engrave-ready outline as SVG or DXF. No font
installation step on the school machines.
- Cut vs Engrave layer. Cut produces a stroke-only
outline that a laser will cut through. Engrave puts the same
outline on the green Engrave layer so a downstream rasteriser
(or your laser software's layer mapping) treats it as surface
marking instead.
- Fragile letters. Fine-stroked serifs and scripts
at small sizes can lose detail or fall off. Bump the size up or
pick a bold display font like Bebas Neue for sub-30 mm tags.
